Putting children, young people, families and communities at the heart of what we do
In 2010 Shoba Manro Holly and Dr Sarah Temple joined resources as a Social Worker and GP respectively and formed a consultancy offering innovative solutions for improving outcomes into adulthood for children and young people: working together with Education, Health, Care (including Social Care, Children Looked After, Early Help) Police and Prison services. When Shoba moved to Australia Sarah founded EHCAP Ltd.
We work to improve outcomes for children and young people with physical, mental and emotional health needs through collaborative relationship based approaches - enabling connections and building skills and capabilities - finding solutions that offer better value.
Dr Sarah Temple has developed a Mindful Emotion Coaching Programme which includes information about toxic stress and the effects of trauma and adversity on health and wellbeing forms the basis for our 'All emotions are OK' workshops. The golden thread of safeguarding is applied to all EHCAP Projects.
In August of 2019 Dr Sarah Temple (founder of EHCAP) spent a month on retreat putting together an ebook summary of this trauma informed, healing centred approach to wellness. The ebook can be streamed by clicking here.
We work with Appreciative Inquiry, putting children, young people and their families at the heart of what happens, acting early and intervening at the right time, knowing about local population needs and planning effectively, creating effective partnerships and networks, caring for professionals and enabling relationship centred care and keeping a golden thread of safeguarding.
We believe that collaborative working and networking are essential to improving outcomes for children, young people and families. We believe in building relationships with children, young people, parents, carers, families, communities, providers, commissioners and each other based on honesty, respect and encouragement - ensuring caring is at the heart of what we all do. We believe in developing and understanding what works well, what it is clients and staff value and who/what they think is important - harnessing passion and leadership skills within the existing workforce.
