All Emotions are OK Coaching Programme
Practitioners will work with EHCAP on a Mindful Emotion Coaching Programme
You may find some of the discussions we run in workshops make you feel emotional especially when looking at the Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) data in the Resilience documentary and when we run an exercise where you look at an ACE questionnaire. If you feel you would like to access emotional support one of the key organisations to approach in Somerset is Talking Therapies - this is a project funded through the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) national fund and access is free for all of us registered with an NHS GP. Somerset IAPT offer mindfulness sessions as a way of managing stress and EMDR as a treatment for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Staff employed by Somerset County Council are also able to access emotional support through Care First .
Other options include:
Reiki Healing
Somerset Compassionate Mindful Resilience (CMR)
Creativity & Play in Relationships
In 2021 and 2022, EHCAP is rolling out and advanced level All Emotions are OK Mindful Emotion Coaching training across Somerset with Public Health (Somerset County Council) funding. The training has been created by Dr Sarah Temple and has a strong evidence base principally from Centre on the Developing Child, Harvard University. The approach is just as relevant for health, education, policing and care colleagues .
Did you know that there is a critical period from conception through to about 3 years not only for laying down of brain architecture but also the immune system, metabolic system and genetic expression? In other words, this isn't just about early learning in school—it‘s about the foundations of physical and mental health. It’s about decreasing the likelihood that a child will develop heart disease or hypertension, or diabetes, or a wide range of the most common chronic illnesses in society.
