Bath Spa University and EHCAP have been commissioned by Public Health, Somerset County Council  to provide Mindful Emotion Coaching Training to the children and young people's workforce in Somerset.

Time Line for Mindful Emotion Coaching Training

Each district will have a whole day training which will include an introduction to the programme and to Emotion Coaching. This will be followed by 3 half day workshops consolidating Emotion Coaching and then 3 further half day workshops to which extended friends will be invited. The first of this second group of workshops will be a needs and interventions workshop , the second wil involve presentations by champions to heads and governors and the third a workshop around  engagement with young people and the peer mentoring programme. The final half day workshop for each district will be held together as a single cross county dissemination conference in December.

South Somerset - Lead is Sarah Temple with Sarah Badger co-facilitating

Mendip - Lead is Janet Rose

The first cohort of 20 champions for the Mendip District will be decided by the end of February giving them time to prepare for the first full day of training  on April 20th. half day workshops will follow on May 20th, June 15th, June 19th, July 14 th, September 14th and October 22nd. There will be a final Dissemination Conference in December which will be led by the champions themselves. 

Taunton Deane - Lead is Sarah Temple with Helen Ryder co-facilitating

Sedgemoor - Lead is Janet Rose

The first cohort of 20 champions for the Sedgemoor District will be decided by the end of  March  and begin preparations for their first day of training on 18th May. Half day workshops will follow on June 9th, July 13th, September 11th, October 22nd, November 5th and November 26th. There will be  final Dissemination Conference in December which will be led by the champions themselves.

West Somerset - Leads are Janet Rose and Sarah Temple with Tracy  co-facilitating

The first cohort of 20 champions for the West Somerset District  will be decided by the end of March  and begin preparations for their first day of training on 19th May. Half day workshops will follow on June 8th (Janet and Tracy), July 9th (Sarah ), September 24th (Janet ), October 14th           (Sarah and Tracy), November 2nd (Janet and Tracy), and November 18th (Sarah). There will be a final Dissemination Conference in December which will be led by the champions themselves.

The venue is likely to be Williton.
