Child Safeguarding in Primary Care

Published: December, 2018

This powerpoint is an attempt to summarise challenges and opportunities within child safegarding in Primary Care in the context of my learning over the last 32 years since my elective in child psychiatry in 1986.

As we work our way together across public services, private enterprise and charities into applying the science of stress and adversity in our communities we will undoubtedly face significant difficulties and hurdles. Savage cuts in Local Authority funding for Early Help teams are creating opportunities for innovation - but I am worried about the increased dependence on volunteers however well supervised.

As always I am hoping you will feedback - we have a live discussion forum at www.mindfulemotioncoaching.co.uk
